DESALINATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desalination system capable of improving a recovery rate, that is, the amount of fresh water generated with respect to the amount of raw water containing a saline raw water.SOLUTION: A desalination system includes a pretreatment apparatus, a pressurizing means, a reverse osmosis membrane module, electrodialysis apparatus 100, and a mixing line. The pressurizing means pressurizes and sends the raw water in which impurities are removed by the pretreatment apparatus. The reverse osmosis membrane module separates the pressurized raw water given from the pressurizing means to the fresh water and concentrated water with high salinity. The electrodialysis apparatus 100 is given the concentrated water separated by the reverse osmosis membrane module, and separates the concentrated water into a dilution water with low salinity and the concentrated water with high salinity while maintaining a high pressure. The mixing line mixes the dilution water, which is separated by the electrodialysis apparatus 100, with the raw water in which the impurities are removed by the pretreatment apparatus before being given to the reverse osmosis membrane module.
