Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide body that can obtain uniform light distribution and downsizing as well as a light source device and an image reading device.SOLUTION: The light guide body 42 is composed of a rod-type transparent member extending in an x axis direction, and moreover, has an end face Sa positioned at an end part on a negative direction side in the x axis direction and a prism formation face Sb extending in the x axis direction. Light enters into the light guide body 42 through the end face Sa. On the prism formation face Sb, there are arranged a plurality of prisms 50 which are aligned in the x axis direction and reflect the incident light from the end face Sa toward a z axis direction. A cross section orthogonally crossing the x axis direction of the prism formation face Sb has a shape recessed in a positive direction of the z axis direction in a region A1 occupying a prescribed range from the end face Sa.
