Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve gear for an engine in which a posture of a valve bridge is stabilized.SOLUTION: The valve gear for an engine is provided in which the valve bridge 4 ascends and descends without guided by an ascending/descending guide part. In the valve gear, a weight 11 is suspended under a bridge input part 6 of the valve bridge 4, a sintered alloy is used for the material of the valve bridge 4, a material having a specific gravity larger than that of the valve bridge 4 is used for the weight 11, an extended part 11b is upwardly led out of the weight 11, and the extended part 11b forms the bridge input part 6 having a higher wear resistance than other parts of the valve bridge 4.
