Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a uniform metal-supported layer on diamond fine powder with average particle diameter as a primary particle of ≤5 μm (as Dvalue), particularly on submicrometer class diamond fine powder-constituting particle.SOLUTION: This production method of the metal-supported diamond fine powder comprises: a step of creating electrically chargeable diamond particles having substantially high dispersibility in water; a step of dispersing such diamond particles in water as primary particles, being negatively charged and suspended, and further adding positively charged metal ions; a step of neutralizing the charge of metal ions, and attaching metal precursors on the diamond particles; and a step of reducing the precursors to metal so as to form the metal-supported diamond particles.
