DETECTION DEVICE AND DETECTION METHOD FOR PHYSICAL QUANTITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection device and a detection method for physical quantity that detect a physical quantity detected from switch input, etc., with as small electric power as possible.SOLUTION: There is provided the detection device for physical quantity that detects a first physical quantity corresponding to a non-input state and a second physical quantity corresponding to an input state for each input element while first and second physical quantities are input to at least one or more input elements arranged at predetermined coordinates. The detection device detects first and second physical quantities for each input element, measures a period from timing of change from a first physical quantity detection state to a second physical quantity detection state to timing of following change to the second physical quantity detection state, and does not store the second physical quantity when the measured period is within a preset predetermined period, or stores the second physical quantity and also outputs output information corresponding to coordinates to which the stored second physical quantity is input when the measured period exceeds the preset predetermined period.
