Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a protection metal plate from being dislocated from a prescribed position when a collecting connection plate is allowed to abut on one face of metal foil obtained by binding positive electrode collecting foil and negative electrode collecting foil at both endpoints of an electrode group and the protection metal plate is allowed to abut on the other face so as to bond them.SOLUTION: A square battery includes an electrode group 1 constituted by laminating a metal foil constituting a positive electrode plate and a metal foil constituting a negative electrode plate by sandwiching them by a separator. Collecting connection plates 3a and 3b are bonded to one faces of a collecting foil lamination parts obtained by binding the positive electrode metal foil and the negative electrode metal foil at both the endpoints of the electrode group. The protection metal plates 5a and 5b are bonded to the other face of the collecting foil lamination part. The protection metal plate has a flat face 5a2 including the bonding section bonded to the collecting foil lamination part. Positioning protrusions 5a3 to 5a7 rising in a direction (Y direction) separated from the electrode group are formed at ends of the flat face. The protection metal plate is formed in a rectangular shape and the positioning protrusions rise from four sides of the rectangular flat face via bent portions.
