Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in recording quality by suppressing sheets floating from a second rib, in a platen composed of a first rib and a second rib positioned on the downstream side of the first rib.SOLUTION: The platen 65, provided opposite to a recording head for printing on a sheet P and supporting the sheet P to specify a gap between the sheet P and the recording head includes: the first rib 65a provided on the platen surface 65c opposite to the recording head and extending in a sub-scanning direction and the second rib 65b provided at the downstream side of the first rib 65a and extending in the sub-scanning direction. The protruding height of the first rib 65a from the platen surface 65c is higher than that of the second rib, thus preventing the sheet P from falling between the first rib 65a and second rib 65b.
