PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of restricting generation of rubbing scratches in a heat receiving part when the heat receiving part is brought into press-contact with a developing unit.SOLUTION: As an image forming unit 11K is mounted to an apparatus body, a deep side end of an engaged part 191K of a developing unit 19K is abutted on a contact part 41fK of a holding member 41K. As the image forming unit 11K is inserted further from a state that the deep side end of the engaged part 191K is abutted on the contact part 41fK, the holding member 41K moves along with the developing unit 19K toward a deep side of the apparatus. Then, an engaging pin 140K of the holding member 41K moves a guide part 423aK of an engagement hole 423K, the holding member 41K moves to the developing unit side, a heat receiving part 32K held by the holding member 41K moves to the developing unit side, and the heat receiving part 32K comes into pressure-contact with a side face of the developing unit 19K.
