Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiation device and light irradiation method that can efficiently perform the reaction of a photoreactive object to be radiated with a simple structure.SOLUTION: The light irradiation device 1 that radiates light to the photoreactive object to be radiated includes a light emitting means 4 that is provided so as to face the object to be radiated and radiates light to the object to be radiated, a moving means 3 that relatively moves the object to be radiated and the light emitting means 4, and a spray means 5 that sprays a predetermined gas to the object to be radiated, relatively moved by the moving means 3. While relatively moving the object to be radiated and the light emitting means 4 by the moving means 3 and spraying the gas to a region to be radiated of the object to be radiated by the spray means 5, light is radiated to the region to be radiated by the light emitting means 4.
