description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fitting detection member (slide member) from malfunctioning during a connector fitting operation.SOLUTION: A connector comprises an inner housing 50 with a lock arm 55 for being inserted and fitted into a hood part 212, and an outer housing 60 with a locking arm 65 slidable forward from an initial position at the stage of the complete fitting of the inner housing into the hood part. The locking arm has a leading end provided with an engaging part 65c that is engaged with a lock part 55a of the lock arm to regulate forward sliding of the outer housing. The lock arm is constituted as a double-supported beam; a first locking surface butting against an engaging protrusion and a second locking surface butting against the engaging part are provided in a divided manner on the locking surface of the lock part; and the second locking surface 55a2 is formed as an inclined locking surface that is turned into a surface perpendicular in a connector fitting direction or a surface tilted to a front side with respect to the perpendicular surface, when the lock arm is bent to the utmost extent.
