Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control device, display control method, and program which can form a high quality image in a display device having a separated light source.SOLUTION: The display control device comprises: a light source control unit that generates a light emission signal for specifying luminance of the light source based on an input image signal showing an image, and transmits the generated light emission signal to the light source; a gradation converting unit that converts a gradation of the input image signal; and a transmissivity control unit that generates a transmissivity control signal for specifying a transmissivity of a display panel for the light emitted from the light source based on the light emission signal and a converted image signal being an image signal obtained by converting the gradation of the input image signal, and transmits the generated transmissivity control signal to the display panel.
