Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that provides an image forming/output service at a metered rate, and determines a reliable billing amount with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus carries out the following steps: obtaining and analyzing information in a PDL form; outputting a display list for performing image forming and output for each of a plurality of bands obtained by dividing a unit page; creating bit map data based on the display list; determining whether or not each of the bands includes an object; and determining a bill amount for every band based on the determination result.
