description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component mounting apparatus capable of improving efficiency in production processing of a printed circuit board by reducing a processing time required for identifying a type of a nozzle stocker.SOLUTION: An electronic component mounting apparatus includes a touch panel switch 26, a mounting head 6, a suction nozzle 5, a board recognition camera 12, a control device 26, nozzle stockers 13, and a recognition processing device 29. An operator in charge presses an exchange start switch part as the touch panel switch 26 to instruct the mounting head 6 to start exchanging the suction nozzle 5. The control device 21 then allows the board recognition camera 12 to move to a position above a positioning mark M3 and an identification mark M5 attached to the nozzle stocker 13 installed at "a location 1", so that the board recognition camera 12 collectively captures an image of the positioning mark M3 and the identification mark M5 for the first stocker. Based on the captured image, the recognition processing device 29 recognizes the positioning mark M3 to obtain a position of the nozzle stocker 13, and then recognizes the identification mark M5 to obtain the existence or absence and a position of the mark M5. Based on the recognition result of the identification mark M5, the control device 21 determines whether the result corresponds to a preset type of the nozzle stocker 13.
