METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR PRODUCING GRANULE WITH IRON-MAKING SLUDGE OR THE LIKE AS MAIN RAW MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce granules which are suitable for furnace raw material by appropriately granulating water-containing iron-making sludge and iron-making dust without performing special drying treatment.SOLUTION: In the method for producing the granules of raw material essentially consisting of iron-making sludge and iron-making dust, a granule production device includes: a stirring blade revolved in a drum charged with the raw material to be granulated; and a stirring rotor performing rotation while being revolved in the drum together with the stirring blade. Using the granule production device, the method includes: a step of successively performing cracking treatment for the iron-making sludge, mixing treatment for the iron-making sludge, the iron-making dust and a solidifying agent and a granulating treatment for the raw material; a step of charging the granules obtained by the step into a coarse grain crusher, performing the selective crushing treatment of only large lumps contained in the granules; and a step of charging the granules subjected to the step into a tumbling machine and performing particle size regulation treatment in which the surfaces of the granules are smoothed.
