Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal material having the same high compaction property as that of a hitherto known seal material made of rubber sponge, which is hard to generate fatigue, and enables a longer life than the hitherto known seal material.SOLUTION: In the seal material which seals a first member and a second member by fitting it into a sealing groove formed in the first member and pressing it with the second member inserted into the inside of the sealing groove, the seal material is formed in a shape of hollow in the sectional view, a concave part is formed on an outer face side of an upper face side of the seal material oriented to a bottom face side of the sealing groove, and an air hole communicating with a hollow part of the seal material is formed in the concave part.
