Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus which suppresses deterioration in image quality.SOLUTION: The image display apparatus includes, inside a housing having an air intake port 21a and an air exhaust port 31a or 32a, a cooling air passage formed by connecting between the air intake port 21a and the air exhaust port 31a or 32a, a cooling fan 23 interposed in the cooling air passage, and laser light source devices of each color 1 to 3 at least heat radiation sections of which are disposed in the cooling air passage. A heat radiation section 34 of the red laser light source device 2, whose temperature characteristics are worst among the laser light source devices of each color 1 to 3, is disposed more upstream of the cooling air passage than the green laser light source device 1 and the blue laser light source device 3.
