METHOD OF OPERATING MOBILE RADIO COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable continuous transmission in a data unit independently of connection switching between a mobile station and a base station and to prevent the loss of transmission capacity at the connection switching.SOLUTION: Effective data is collected together in a data unit prior to transmission. For transmission in a data unit, information specialized to transmission, which represents a current transmission state, is stored in a mobile station and a first host network unit. When the connection of the mobile station is switched from a first base station to a second base station having a second host network unit, signaling information indicating whether a transmission protocol generated in the second host network unit is reset to make the transmission be continuous from an initial state, or an existing transmission specialization information that have been already formed is transmitted from the first host network unit to the second host network unit so as to make the transmission after connection switching be directly continuous from the current transmission state, is decided.
