SURFACE EMITTING LASER ARRAY ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-output surface emitting laser array element with a simple constitution in which a laser oscillation wavelength is uniform.SOLUTION: Surface emitting laser array elements are two-dimensionally arrayed. Each of the surface emitting laser array element has a temperature compensation layer in an optical resonator. The thickness of the temperature compensation layer is set so as to decrease a difference in laser oscillation wavelength due to temperature difference between a first region with a large number of adjacent surface emitting laser elements and a second region with a small number of them. Preferably the surface emitting laser array elements have an intra-cavity structure.
