description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing processing of an error occurrence source in case of reading optical sing to allow a multilevel optical reading system to highly reliably record and restore data.SOLUTION: A system and a method for reading multilevel signals from an optical disk 200 are disclosed. The method includes reading raw analog data signals from the disk 200 using an optical head 204 to adjust amplitude of the raw analog data signals. Timing signals are restored from the analog data signals for which amplitude adjustment is performed, using a signal processor 214. The amplitude modulation of the raw analog data signals is corrected by performing processing of the raw analog data signals and timing signals. |
