The direction of the optical axis and the touch panel display surface are determined on basis of a detection in gravity direction by a acceleration sensor, and from this, information on whether the image is taken in a landscape screen or a portrait screen and top-and-bottom information of the image are obtained, attached to digital image information, and stored.
