SOLAR CELL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell that prevents decrease in efficiency and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the solar cell includes: a step to form a textured surface with multiple projections on a substrate of a first conductivity type; a step to form an emitter layer of a second conductivity type which is opposite to the first conductivity type by doping the substrate with an impurity; a step to form an emitter part by removing some of the emitter layer using dry etching; a step to form anti-reflection coating on the emitter part; and a step to form a first electrode to be connected to the emitter part and a second electrode to be connected to the substrate. Since there is little change in the shape of the projections on the textured surface after removing some of the emitter layer, reflection on the textured surface is not affected and the efficiency of the solar cell is does not decrease.
