description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for allowing accurate and easy check of whether a flexible printed board to be electrically connected is accurately positioned or not. SOLUTION: In the connector, the flexible printed board 50 inserted through an opening portion of a base 11 is temporarily held at its front end and then an operation lever 40 is turned to operate a connection terminal 30 to be held in the state that the movable contact of the connection terminal 30 is pressed against a connection portion of the flexible printed board. Particularly, a pair of elastic pawl portions 24 are protruded into the opening portion of the base 11 for temporarily holding engaging cutout portions 53 which are provided at the edges on both sides of the front end of the flexible printed board 50 inserted through the opening portion of the base 11, while elastically engaging sideways therewith, and an inspection hole 23 is provided in the ceiling surface of the base 11 for allowing visual check at the outer peripheral edges of the elastic pawl portions 24.
