Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion that contains a polyester resin particle having a small particle size and is excellent in preservation (storage) stability. SOLUTION: An aqueous dispersion of polyester resin (X) is an aqueous dispersion prepared by dispersing a resin particle (A) including a polyester resin (a) produced by polycondensation of an alcohol component (x) and a carboxylic acid component (y) in an aqueous medium (W), if necessary, containing an organic solvent (S). In the aqueous dispersion, the content of a free carboxylic acid in the polyester resin (a) is not more than 2,000 ppm and the SP value of the polyester resin (a) is 10.5 to 12.5 (cal/cm3)1/2.
