description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize radiation loss from a hot water storage tank, with respect to the hot water storage tank composed of a tank body 11 long in the vertical direction, three tank supporting pieces 12 disposed on a lower peripheral face of the tank body at intervals in the circumferential direction and extending downward, and a heat insulating material for covering the tank body. SOLUTION: The heat insulating material is composed of three blocks 131, 132, 133divided into three in the circumferential direction on the same circumferential position as three tank supporting pieces 12. Each of the blocks 131, 132, 133has a peripheral wall section 13a covering a peripheral face of the tank body 11 and long in the vertical direction, an upper wall section 13b extending radially inward from an upper end of the peripheral wall section 13a and covering a top section of the tank body 11, and a lower wall section 13c extending radially inward through a clearance gap of two tank supporting pieces 12 adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction from a lower end of the peripheral wall section 13a, and covering a bottom section of the tank body 11.
