The optical system of the zoom lens includes thirteen lenses which are divided into four lens groups, wherein the zoom lens includes: in a following order from a photographic subject, a first lens group 10; third lens group 30, and fourth lens group 40 each having a positive refractive index; a second lens group 20 having a negative refractive index and having a function to move along an optical axis, and wherein the first lens group is composed of the four lenses, an external surface of a first lens is concave in a direction of a plane of an image, the third lens group includes two meniscus lenses which are oppositely concave toward an image plane, the fourth lens group is convex-concave glued lens and the second lens group is made with capability of cross-section displacement relative to the optical axis of the optical system.
