Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of identifying the kind of a ginger even in dried ginger powder, and also a primer set capable of being used for the method. SOLUTION: The method for identifying the kind of a ginger includes the step of obtaining the whole DNA of the ginger from a sample; the step of performing a PCR reaction by means of the obtained whole DNA as a template by using the homologous DNA of both terminal sequences of a ginger retrotransposon or a DNA hybridized with the terminal sequences under a stringent condition, as the primer set; and the step of analyzing the PCR reaction liquid by electrophoresis.
