description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more inexpensive dishwasher capable of more efficiently washed objects to be washed by opening only a jet hole highly contributing to washing of the washed objects to be washed placed in a dishes basket, and capable of reducing noise caused by collision of washing water with a wall surface of a washing tub. SOLUTION: The dishwasher includes an upper dishes basket 34 and a lower dishes basket 14 in which washed objects are placed within the washing tub 7 provided within a casing in such a way as can be freely drawn out, and a rotary washing nozzle 23 on the bottom of the washing tub 7. The rotary washing nozzle has a projection 24 with a jet hole 25 near the front end at an upper part on a rotating shaft. The projection 24 is operatively connected with the rotation of the upper dishes basket 34, and the jet hole 25 near the front end of the projection 24 is opened/closed by jet hole opening/closing means 26. the washed objects to be washed in the upper dishes basket 34 are washed by the jet hole 25.
