SOLUTION: In the RS-232C signal remote transmission system, a monitoring-side transmission repeater includes a signal conversion part for mutual conversion of an RS-232C signal and an RS-422 signal, a monitoring state notification part for transmitting a monitoring mode signal, and a signal state display part for displaying the signal state of a segment on the lower device side, and a monitored-side transmission repeater includes a signal conversion part and a signal information notification part for transmitting information of the signal state of the segment on the lower device side to the monitoring-side transmission repeater when detecting the monitoring mode signal, and information of the signal state of the segment on the lower device side can be obtained by the signal state display part when the communication fault of the segment on the lower device side occurs.
