description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus of a hopping direct recording system which can avoid the generation of an image density unevenness caused by the difference of a toner approaching amount to a through-hole 14Y, by the difference of the position of the through-hole 14Y in the arranging direction of hopping electrodes. SOLUTION: A circuit board 10Y includes a plurality of set lines having hole-electrode sets, as the combination of through-holes 14 and flight control electrodes 12Y, arranged in a straight-line state in the extending direction of the hopping electrodes. A plurality of the hopping electrodes are arranged at an equal pitch to each other. When the hopping electrodes belong to the same set line, the positional relationships between the toner hopping between the center of the through-hole 14Y and the hopping electrodes, and a parabolic orbit become the same as each other. Between the different set lines, its arranging pitch P2 becomes the times by an integer number of the hopping pitch of the toner. Accordingly, in the respective set lines, the approaching amount of the toner to the through-hole is set to uniform irrespective of the position of the set line in each set line. Thus, the occurrence of the unevenness of the image density by the difference of the approaching amount of the toner caused by the difference of the positions of the through-holes is avoided.
