SOLUTION: A buffer device 42 is disposed between the high-speed first image forming apparatus 12 and the low-speed second image forming apparatus 14. In the case of forming images by the two image forming apparatuses 12 and 14, surplus continuous sheets caused by a conveying speed difference between the two apparatuses are stored in the buffer device 42. In the case of forming the images only by the first image forming apparatus 12, the continuous sheets are conveyed in the second image forming apparatus 14 at the conveying speed higher than that in the first image forming apparatus 12, and then, the number of continuous sheets stored in the buffer device 42 is reduced.
