NUCLEAR MEDICINE DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT AND IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear medicine diagnostic equipment and an image processing apparatus which realize improvement in the accuracy of image diagnosis, in nuclear medicine examination. SOLUTION: A detector 14 detects γ-rays emitted from a radioisotope inside an object under inspection P. A reconstruction processing unit 32 generates data on a SPECT image, representing the concentration distribution of the radioisotope inside a subject under examination P, on the basis of output from the detector 14. An anthropometric measurements correction unit 46 corrects for the data generated on the SPECT image, according to anthropometric measurements which change according to the quantity of a γ-rays absorber contained in the subject under examination P.
