Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a batch type manufacturing method for an aromatic copolymerized polyester excellent in transparency and color tone and having high clarity. SOLUTION: The method manufactures the aromatic copolymerized polyester containing terephthalic acid as a main dicarboxylic acid component and containing ethylene glycol and neopentyl glycol as main glycolic acid components by a batch type direct esterification method. In the method, a germanium compound is added before beginning of an esterification reaction, a cobalt compound is added from after completion of the esterification reaction to completion of a polycondensation reaction, the concentration of a carboxyl terminal end group of a copolymerized polyester oligomer at completion of the esterification reaction is 100-650 eq/ton, and the concentration of a hydroxyl terminal end group is 3,000-8,000 eq/ton.
