description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanning device which is made compact and quiet.SOLUTION: The optical scanning device is equipped with: a substrate body; two cantilever beam portions which protrude from both side parts of the one side of the substrate body; a mirror portion both sides of which are supported by torsion beam parts between the cantilever beam portions; a driving source which oscillates the substrate body; and a light source which projects light to the mirror portion. The mirror portion side and fixing end portion on the opposite side of the substrate body are fixed on a supporting component, and the driving source is provided in a part of the substrate body. By providing a plurality of holes on the substrate body, the protruded length of the substrate body from the supporting component is made shorter, thereby the noise generated by the torsional oscillation of the mirror portion is reduced, and thus the sound is reduced.
