SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING OF GENERATOR STATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame that reduces cost required for properly locating a key bar due to strict tolerances between the dovetails and the notches. SOLUTION: A system includes a stator mounting kit 80 that includes a plurality of radial adjustment shims 86 having different thicknesses 140 from one another. The stator mounting kit 80 also includes a plurality of stator alignment adapters 84 having different circumferential alignments between a key bar mount 98 and a spring bar mount 100. The stator mounting kit 80 is configured to enable radial and circumferential alignment between each spring bar 78 and each key bar 82 in a stator framework by selecting one stator alignment adapter 84 and selecting one or more radial adjustment shims 86.
