Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering system capable of attaining size reduction and high heat radiation performance by disposing a control apparatus between a gear case and a motor, attaching a semiconductor switching element to a cover body of the control apparatus, and radiating heat from the semiconductor switching element to the gear case through the cover body. SOLUTION: In the electric power steering system, the control apparatus 120 includes: the semiconductor switching element 121; a multilayer circuit board 122; a conductive plate 123 for electrically connecting the semiconductor switching element 121 with the circuit board 122; a cover body 124 for storing the circuit board 122 and the semiconductor switching element 121 in cooperation with the motor 101.
