CASE FOR RECORDING DISC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case for a recording disc that is easy to use, without being provided with a complicate mechanism which needs an increased cost. SOLUTION: The case includes a disc holding part 10 having a mechanism for holding the recording disc, and a lid 20 for covering the recording disc held with the disc holding part. The case has an open-and-close mechanism for switching between a closed position and an open position with these two components sliding against each other. The positional relation between these two components is adjusted such that, at an arbitrary position between the closed position and the open position, in a state where the disc holding part is inclined with its protruding direction due to the sliding movement being oriented downward, the disc holding part slides downwardly to shift to the open position under its own weight of the disc holding part or its own weight and a weight of the held recording disc. Further, When a user performs a predetermined releasing operation by one hand at the closed position, a locked state is released and the disc holding part starts sliding downwardly.
