SOLUTION: A sample having known fiber orientation angle or/and fiber orientation strength is set as the sample for calibration, and the measured data by the fiber orientation measuring device to be calibrated is calibrated by measuring the fiber orientation angle and fiber orientation strength of this sample for calibration. The reference values of the fiber orientation angle and fiber orientation strength of the sample for calibration are obtained by a direct method of measuring the number of fibers or an indirect method of measuring it with an optional fiber orientation measuring device. The calibration curve of the measured values of the orientation angle and orientation strength of the sample for calibration and measured data of them is determined, and the calibration is performed.
