Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent application of high voltage from adversely affecting an IC chip or the like without complicating, enlarging, or cost-increasing an IC card or reader/writer when a display device is mounted on a card surface. SOLUTION: In the IC card, a display is arranged on the surface of the card, and a contact terminal is arranged on the backside of the card. In response to the detection results when an IC card detection unit detects release of mounting of the IC card, voltage supply from a second terminal to a high voltage contact terminal of the IC card is blocked earlier than voltage supply from a first terminal of the reader/writer to a first contact terminal of the IC card. The display surface of the display is front, so that recognition during rewriting of the display is allowed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
