SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a display panel is provided, with which, prior to filling a cell gap with a display material, a sealing pattern that forms the cell gap and connects the upper substrate and the lower substrate is irradiated with light through the face opposite to the face where the sealing pattern of the lower substrate is formed, to form a temporary cured layer on the face in contact with the lower substrate and on the surface in the cell gap side of the sealing pattern. Thus, degradation in the display material due to contamination caused by the contact of the display material such as a liquid crystal with an uncured sealing agent can be prevented, and the upper substrate and the lower substrate are firmly connected without generating a gap in the sealing pattern.
