Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner binder having a uniform particle diameter and excellent in all of low temperature fixability, hot offset resistance and toner fluidity. SOLUTION: The toner for electrostatic charge image development includes toner particles containing a toner binder and a colorant, wherein the toner particles are particles having a volume average particle diameter of 3 to 10 μm, formed through steps including a step of dispersing resin particles having at least a volume average particle diameter of not more than 1 μm in water and a step of coagulating the resin particles. The toner binder contains a polyester resin (A) by not less than 25 wt.%, the polyester resin includes, as structural components, a polyol component (x) and a polycarboxylic acid component (y), with 60 to 100 mol% of the component (x) being an aliphatic diol having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, and the polyester resin has an L value of 1 to 30, which is obtained from a DSC curve in the first temperature elevation measured by a differential scanning calorimeter.
