description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve waterproof performance by suppressing water entering between an output shaft and an output shaft supporting part even if the tip side of the output shaft is positioned downward. SOLUTION: The electric motor with a reduction gear includes a step surface 37c which extends in the direction crossing the axial line of an output shaft supporting shaft 37 to be arranged between a large diameter part 37a and a small diameter part 37b, with a cross angle being so formed as to be an acute angle toward the tip side of the output shaft supporting part 37, and a waterproof cap 39 equipped with a tubular part 40 having an abutment surface 40c which is engaged with the small diameter part 37b to contact the step surface 37c as well as a sliding part 41 which is provided to the other end side of the tubular part 40 to slide on an output shaft 16. With this configuration, it becomes hard for rain water W running the outer periphery of the output shaft supporting part 37 to enter between the tubular part 40 and the small diameter part 37b, thereby suppressing the rain water W from entering between the output shaft 16 and the output shaft supporting part 37 (bearing member 38), resulting in the improved waterproof performance of a wiper motor.
