SOLUTION: The housing member 30 is to be used for a housing 3 of a connector comprising an optical waveguide 10 having a plurality of core parts and the housing 3 disposed to cover a front end part of the optical waveguide 10. The housing member 30 is constituted with a long-size hollow body having a hollow part into which the optical waveguide 10 is insertable, while the optical waveguide 10 is inserted into the hollow part, the optical waveguide 10 is cut on a cutting part in the middle of the longitudinal direction together with the hollow body and is divided into two and the two divided semi-bodies are respectively used as connectors.
