METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING UNDERGROUND SPACE AND STRUCTURE OF THE UNDERGROUND SPACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing an underground space, capable of minimizing the deformation of a ground by exhibiting an arch effect and easily constructing a tunnel, even if the tunnel includes a curved part in a linear shape. SOLUTION: This method includes a step of pushing steel pipes 3 facing in the extending direction of the large underground space in the ground 20 on the outer periphery of the upper arch part 11 of the large underground space 1 at intervals in the circumferential direction, a step of excavating preceding tunnels 5, 5 near the bottom end of the upper arch part, a step of installing arch-shaped arch supporting members 4 along the inner peripheral surfaces of the steel pipes, a step of excavating the inner peripheral side of the arch supporting members in an arch shape, joining the steel pipes and the arch supporting members, respectively, and constructing reaction bodies 51, 51 in which the ends 41, 41 of the arch supporting members are buried, and a step of constructing the large underground space by excavating between the inner peripheral side of the arch supporting members and the preceding tunnels.
