Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble lubricant for warm or hot plastic working, suppressing temperature rise of a molding die, preventing the surface of a tool from getting burned after working, and capable of prolonging the life of the molding die, and a warm or hot plastic working method using the same. SOLUTION: The water-soluble lubricant for warm or hot plastic working comprises: a constituent (1) of at least one selected from the group consisting of a component (A) of a water soluble salt of a carboxylic acid, and a component (B) of a water-soluble polymer; and a constituent (2) of a component C of a polyvalent alcohol having a carbon number of not less than 4.
