MAGNETRON, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetron which prevents the degradation of spurious radiation suppressing effects owing to choke grooves 7, 8 by suppressing the deformation of the sectional shape of a choke cylinder body 6 due to sealing cut. SOLUTION: The magnetron 1 includes an exhaust tube 2 having a swollen part 3, an exhaust part 5 and a stepped part 4; and the cylindrical choke cylinder body 6 extending from the wall on the anode side of the stepped part 4 or an end 5a on the anode side of the exhaust part 5 to the anode side while being spaced from an inner wall 3b of the swollen part 3, and having an inner diameter formed larger than the inner diameter of the end 5a of the anode side of the exhaust part 5 to form the choke groove 7 together with a part of the swollen part 3.
