SOLUTION: When an occupant holding a portable terminal M wears an HMD 30, ID is acquired from the portable terminal M, the occupant is indirectly specified by the ID, and the light quantity passing through a lens 32 (a liquid crystal panel 40) of the HMD 30 is adjusted based on the target illuminance prepared in advance in a memory of the portable terminal M so that the light quantity corresponding to the occupant related to the ID enters eyes E. The target illuminance is adjusted based on these pieces of information by incorporating the attributes such as the pupil color, the sex, and the age included in a memory 92 of the portable terminal M, and then, the light transmittance of the liquid crystal panel 40 of the HMD 30 is controlled based on the target illuminance after the adjustment.
