PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel having a high initial luminance and moreover capable of suppressing degradation with the passage of time to a great extent. SOLUTION: In the plasma display panel, a front surface board 1 having an electrode 6 covered by a dielectric layer 7 and a back surface board 2 provided with a first phosphor layer 13 emitting visible light are so arranged opposed to each other with a barrier rib 12 in-between that discharging space 14 can be formed. The front surface board 1 is covered by a protection layer 8 and is provided with a second phosphor layer 15 which opposes the first phosphor layer 13 with the discharging space 14 in-between and emits the visible light of the same color as the first phosphor layer 13.
