Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor that reliably prevents the entry of water into a bearing, favorably discharge water in the event of entry, and enhance low noise capability and durability. SOLUTION: A coil 17 is wound on multiple teeth 13 provided on a stator base 4 to construct a stator S. A rotor R is constructed of: a closed-end cylindrical rotor yoke 60 that covers the stator S from front; and a magnet 62 placed on the peripheral wall 61 of the rotor yoke 60 in correspondence with the coil 17. A rotating shaft 6 provided in the central part of the rotor R is rotatably supported in the stator base 4 through first and second bearings 29, 30. A water shield ring 35 is provided outside a bearing holder 27 that holds the first and second bearings 29, 30. An inner ring 82 extended from the bottom wall 63 of the rotor yoke 60 is provided in proximity to the exterior of the water shield ring 35. The water shield ring 35 is provided with a cutout 38 at the lower part of a labyrinth 99 formed therebetween. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
