description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic card issuing machine and magnetic card supply unit suitable for unattended operation. SOLUTION: The magnetic card issuing machine includes, a supply unit 20 having a magnetic card supplying function, an ejecting unit 40 having a conveying and ejecting function of magnetic card 5, and a recording unit 60 having an information reading/writing function, and those units are arranged in this order to enable a magnetic card to be conveyed in sequence. The recording unit 60 writes information into the magnetic card 5 which is being conveyed in forward direction, then read the information by conveying the card 5 in backward direction. If the written information is valid, then the card is further conveyed in backward direction and issued. If the written information is invalid, then the card is conveyed in forward direction and transferred into the ejecting unit 40.
