description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carpet holding structure, capable of keeping a favorable design which does not have a carpet readily removed from a locking part for the carpet and surely holding the carpet by means of an easy work. SOLUTION: The carpet-holding structure has a wire harness 7, the carpet 5, a harness-holding member 1, a side sill panel 4 and a scuff plate 3. The carpet has a hole part 52 and is laid on a floor surface of an automobile. A first base surface part 10 of the harness-holding member 1 is provided with a storing part 12 for the wire harness extending to an opposite side on the carpet-laying side. A second base surface part 20 continuous from the first base surface part is provided with a locking part 22 capable of being engaged to the carpet. The locking part has a step part 23, capable of abutting on an edge 52 of the hole part and a locking hole 24, and is extended from the second base surface part to the carpet laying side. The scuff plate has a leg part 32 which extends from a surface facing the harness holding member 1 toward the carpet. The locking part has a size which is smaller than that of the hole part, and the leg part is inserted into the locking hole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
